La chitarra acustica Martin D-18 Authentic 1939 è basata sul modello D-18 del 1939, contenuto all’interno del museo Martin e presenta un Top in Abete Adirondack, fasce e fondo in Mogano ed una incatenatura come quella utilizzata all’epoca. Il top e le catene sono state trattate con il VTS Vintage Tone System, processo tramite il quale Martin riesce a ricreare il sia l’estetica di un modello Vintage, che i suoi particolari toni. I modelli Authentic di Martin sono costruiti alla vecchia maniera.
